Overview
A PDF can look correct in an editor but still cut off text, signatures, or images after export or printing. This usually happens because of incorrect page size, margins, orientation, scaling, or image placement.
Why this matters
Cut-off content can make an application, resume, assignment, invoice, or official form unusable. Reviewing the PDF before submitting it prevents avoidable problems.
Use the correct page size
Choose the page size required by your document, usually A4 for many forms and printable documents in India. If a document was designed for Letter size but printed on A4, the layout can change.
Check page orientation too. Use portrait for standard documents and landscape for wide tables, spreadsheets, or charts.
Leave safe margins
Do not place text, images, signatures, or important details too close to page edges. Printers and PDF viewers may apply scaling or margins that cut off edge content.
Use reasonable margins and inspect headers, footers, tables, and page numbers before exporting.
Review the exported PDF
Open the PDF after creating it and review every page at normal zoom. Look for clipped lines, missing image parts, broken tables, or unexpected blank pages.
If you plan to print, use Print Preview as a final check. A PDF that looks fine on screen may need scaling adjustments for a particular printer.
